People
Esben A. Nilssen, Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Esben A. Nilssen holds an MPhil degree in molecular biology from the University of Cambridge, England, and a PhD (Dr. scient.) degree in cell biology from the University of Oslo. He has also obtained a research degree in philosophy from the University of Oslo, as well as completed training at the Copenhagen group of Centre for International Industrial Property Studies (Strasbourg) to qualify as a European Patent Attorney. Prior to his academic studies he was trained as a military officer at the Royal Norwegian Air Force School in Stavern. In the years from 1997 to 2002 Dr. Nilssen was a Junior Research Fellow at The Norwegian Radium Hospital studying the effects of DNA damage on the cell cycle. Dr. Nilssen has been a lecturer and student research assistant, and has received several scholarships and awards for his academic work. Before joining Epitarget he was an equity analyst at Gjensidige NOR Equities ASA and a patent attorney at Zacco Norway AS. Dr Nilssen joined Epitarget in March 2006.

Tove Julie Evjen, Research Scientist
Ms Tove J Evjen holds a master in Pharmacy (Msc Pharm) from the University of Tromsø (UiT), with Pharmaceutical technology as the main field of study from the Tumour Biology Centre, Albert Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Germany. Before joining Epitarget AS in November 2007 she worked as a lecturer at the Dept. of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics at UiT. At Epitarget she focuses on development of sonosensitive liposomes as carriers for chemotherapeutic drugs. She is also enrolled at the PhD program at the Faculty of Medicine at UiT.

Håkon Sæterøy, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Håkon Sæterøy is Chairman of the Board of Epitarget AS. He is also Managing Director of INVESTOR Corporate AS, as well as Investor Relations Manager and Chairman of the Board of Diagenic ASA (Oslo Stock Exchange ticker DIAG). Mr Sæterøy has extensive experience from venture capital projects and investment banking.

Tone Ikdahl, MD PhD
Dr. Tone Ikdahl is tranined both as a medical doctor and researcher. She has a PhD on molecular alterations in breast cancer from the University of Oslo and currently serves as Head of Department at the Ullevaal Cancer Clinic, Oslo University Hospital.
Henrik Lund, MD PhD
Dr. Henrik Lund MD PhD is former Global Vice President MC Clinical Development, AstraZeneca R&D. Lund has more than 15 years international management experience from the pharmaceutical industry. His academic background is from University of Oslo and University of California, San Francisco. Lund joined AstraZeneca in 1994 and since 2005 he has headed AstraZeneca’s clinical development, phase I-III, across 43 subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. For the last 5 years Lund has been part of the Clinical Development management team. Prior to joining AstraZeneca Lund has gained experience from both commercial and R&D management roles from Nycomed Imaging and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer. Henrik Lund is also Chairman of the Board at DiaGenic ASA, as well as board member in Life Science organisations in Scandinavia (Oslo Cancer Cluster, Medcoast Scandinavia).
Tom Pike
Mr. Tom E. Pike has been Chairman and CEO of Clavis Pharma ASA, a public drug development company, Partner of the venture capital group NeoMed and more than 18 years experience as CEO, sales and marketing director, business alliance manager and other positions at Hoffmann-La Roche in Norway and Switzerland. He is Chairman of the Board of Vaccibody AS and has also served on the Board (past Chairman) of the Norwegian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers for six years. Mr. Pike is a Norwegian and British citizen and holds a B.Sc. Honours in Pharmacology.
Praveen Sharma, PhD
Dr. Praveen Sharma is the Director of Technology and co-founder of DiaGenic ASA, a molecular diagnostics company based in Oslo, Norway. He holds a doctorate in molecular biology from he Norwegian University of Life Sciences, 1995. Sharma has held several research positions, most recently at the Norwegian Institute for Forest Research. He joined DiaGenic in 2000.
Erling Sundrehagen, MD PhD
Dr. Erling Sundrehagen is a medical doctor, a Master of Science in nuclear chemistry and has a PhD in immunology. He founded Axis Biochemicals ASA in 1985 and was appointed to the board of Axis-Shield plc when Axis Biochemicals ASA merged with Shield Diagnostics Group plc in May 1999. Dr. Sundrehagen has over 25 years of experience within clinical chemistry and biochemistry. He has received various international awards for his research in clinical chemistry and is experienced in international patenting. He currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer at Axis-Shield plc. |
